Washington, D.C.

We went to Washington, D.C. a couple of years ago.  We really enjoyed the museums and all of the sight-seeing.  We walked a lot.  While we were out walking, a storm hit.  We were trying to get to some shelter when a harsh wind hit.  We were in front of a building where we could see people inside.  The wind was so strong that we could hardly walk.  My hair was wrapping around my face and we could not see very well.  We could see the people in the building laughing (because we must have been a pretty sight).  We could do nothing else but put our arms out as if we were flying and laugh and laugh and laugh.

We had some other interesting things happen to us.  We flew in to Maryland.  We were trying to navigate to our hotel in Virginia.  We got a little side-tracked.  As we were driving we saw some military police up a little hill / driveway.  We figured we would ask them for some directions.  So we drove up the driveway and the guards looked a little concerned.  We told them our situation and asked them for directions.  After they had given us some help, they asked us if we knew where we were.  Of course we didn't!  They then informed us that we were at the Vice President's mansion.  (Crazy tourists!!)
